Basic Function : Responsible for delivering all facets of experienced hire recruiting for the regulated and non-regulated business units/lines. These responsibilities include developing, implementing and maintaining: recruiting plans, strategies and the process. Recruitment process includes, but is not limited to: interviewing, candidate evaluation, consulting and advising managers and maintaining HR business systems.
Essential Functions: Recruiting Develops an understanding of client business objectives and consults with HR and business/functional leaders to integrate recruitment initiatives into hiring plans. Executes on the overall recruitment strategy set in collaboration with the Director. Provides business units/lines guidance in recruiting related decisions. Assists with creating job descriptions. Leads the creation of a recruiting, sourcing and interviewing plan for each open position. Efficiently and effectively fills open positions. Conducts regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans. Continuously develops a pipeline of qualified candidates in advance of need. Builds networks to find qualified passive candidates. Researches and recommends new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting. Posts openings with professional organizations, online and in other appropriate venues. Administers the internal job posting and job award procedure for union and non-union positions to ensure consistency among all SJI companies, and remain in compliance with relevant contract provisions. Employment Branding Works to establish a recognizable employer of choice reputation for the company, both internally and externally. Communicates with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, build strong business relationships and source new candidate leads. Attends local professional meetings, networking events and industry-related meetings. Maintains regular contact with potential future candidates. Additional responsibilities Manages the use of external recruiting agencies. Maintains all pertinent applicant and interview data in the ATS and Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Works with HR Coordinator to facilitate pre-employment process, i.e., reference and background checks; drug and alcohol testing. Assists in interviewing and selection of candidates. Assists management with state, federal compliance audits as necessary. Perform other special projects as assigned. Position Requirements: Bachelors Degree in a human resources, business or related field. Minimum of 5 years experience of full life cycle recruiting for a variety of positions at all levels in an organization. Experience in recruitment for union environment is preferred. Experience in providing excellent customer service in supporting multiple clients, and ability to work with all levels of the organization. Strong communication, organizational and program management skills are required. General knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Ability to travel to Company locations as needed. Proficient with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and PC-based applications (Word, Excel) and systems (preferably Lawson). Knowledge of HRIS system. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
